Born and raised in the heart of Madison, Wisconsin, Ben Borns-Moore has always been deeply connected to his community. Growing up surrounded by the city’s vibrant culture and outdoor spaces, he developed a love for both people and the natural world—two passions that continue to shape his life today. From an early age, Ben found himself drawn to sports, particularly soccer, where he discovered not only the thrill of competition but also the value of teamwork, dedication, and leadership.

Ben’s soccer journey took him to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he played at the collegiate level, sharpening his skills and deepening his love for the game. Though his days of college competition have passed, his passion for soccer remains stronger than ever. Today, he continues to play on various pickup teams in Madison, staying active and engaged with the local soccer community. More importantly, he gives back to the sport that has given him so much by volunteering as a youth soccer coach, mentoring the next generation of players and helping them develop both on and off the field.

Beyond soccer, Ben pursued an education in social work and social sciences, driven by a desire to better understand and support the people around him. His studies gave him insight into human behavior, community development, and the importance of connection—lessons that continue to guide him in all aspects of life.

Currently, Ben has channeled his energy into landscaping, where he brings creativity and a strong work ethic to his projects. Working outdoors allows him to combine his appreciation for nature with hands-on craftsmanship, transforming spaces and creating beautiful, functional environments. Whether coaching young athletes, playing the sport he loves, or shaping the land around him, Ben is always looking for ways to grow, learn, and make a meaningful impact.

Madison will always be home for Ben, and he remains dedicated to being an active, positive force in the community—both on and off the field.
